how to hire

standard hire period
Items can be rented on a weekly basis with no upper limit. The collection is primarily aimed at film, television and editorial productions and stylists.
pricing
Hire fees are based on how long you keep each item.
For hires 2 weeks or less, a flat fee of £10 per item, per week applies.
For hires over 2 weeks, the rate is £5 per item, per week, capped at a maximum of 10 weeks.
Hire charges are calculated on the actual length of the hire. If an item is returned within 2 weeks, it will be charged at the short-term rate.
Payment is required after item(s) are safely returned.
A flat cleaning fee is charged per item and added to the final invoice at the end of the hire period. Postage fees, if used, will also be added to the final invoice.
security deposit
A fully refundable security deposit is required for all rentals. Deposit amounts are confirmed at booking and refunded in full once items are returned on time and in their original condition. Deposit amounts per item are scaled depending on order size; please see details below.
Deposits must be received in full prior to dispatch.
Deposit rates per item:
1–5 item(s): £50
6–15 items: £40
16–30 items: £30
31–50 items: £25
51+ items: £20
cleaning
All items are inspected and professionally dry cleaned between hires. Cleaning fees are charged regardless of visible wear. Items returned with excessive soiling, staining, or damage requiring specialist treatment may incur additional cleaning charges, as well as a potential deposit retention. If this applies, you will be notified immediately.
fittings
All items can be taken out for fittings at no cost for up to 3 days. A refundable deposit is required for fittings, and items can be reserved if not needed immediately after. The need for a fitting deposit may be waived if a hire house representative is available to accompany the items.
damaged or lost items
Normal wear consistent with professional use is expected. In cases of loss or irreversible damage, you will be liable for £100 fee, per item. This will be taken out of the original deposit. If the existing deposit does not cover this amount, it will be included in your final invoice.

shipping & collection
We currently offer our services within the UK only. London-based productions are encouraged to collect and return items by appointment, though items can also be posted via Royal Mail tracked service. Shipping costs are covered by the customer and added to the final invoice.
returns
All items must be returned by the agreed date and via the agreed method. Late returns may incur additional fees. Please do not clean, press, or alter ties before returning.
payment methods
Payments are accepted via bank transfer or other agreed electronic methods.
regarding necktie tags
All a.mi.ma ties are individually tagged with their item number, usually under the flap at the back of the blade. If the construction of the necktie doesn’t allow for this positioning, tags are sewn elsewhere as discreetly as possible. It’s understandable that you may sometimes need to conceal a tag when the back of the tie is visible. Please avoid unpicking it, if possible, to prevent damage or loss. In most cases, the tag can be folded in and secured with a tape that leaves no residue—better for us, and quicker for you.
condition & colour
Please note, all of our items are second hand. A lot of effort and care has been put in to accurately photograph and describe everything individually. This includes attempting the closest possible colour match for each item, but sometimes there may be some small disparity. We are happy to provide more pictures if necessary.
